The disciple of the Lord must avoid impure foods
Brothers and sisters in Christ,
Today’s message is a reminder about unclean foods. In the Bible, God forbade us to eat a certain number of things among which we have the meat of certain animals. It’s still valid. Thus, every disciple of Jesus Christ must avoid meat of pork. Pork is included in the list of impure animals. See Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14.
2 “Say to the Israelites: ‘Of all the animals that live on land, these are the ones you may eat:
3 You may eat any animal that has a divided hoof and that chews the cud.
4 “‘There are some that only chew the cud or only have a divided hoof, but you must not eat them. The camel, though it chews the cud, does not have a divided hoof; it is ceremonially unclean for you.
5 The hyrax, though it chews the cud, does not have a divided hoof; it is unclean for you.
6 The rabbit, though it chews the cud, does not have a divided hoof; it is unclean for you.
7 And the pig, though it has a divided hoof, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you.
The other day I wanted to eat a canned meat containing chicken mixed with pork, the Spirit told me NO!
Many people rely on the writings of the apostles like Paul to say that this prohibition of God is no longer valid. I want to tell them that they misunderstood the scripture. Neither Jesus nor his apostles will contradict God. It is important to keep in mind that the New Testament also does not contradict the old one and vice versa.
The Lord Himself said that He did not come to abolish the law of God.
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
God bless you in Jesus Name.
